Lying at the foot of the mountains, Hacienda de Anzo is a little hotel of just six rooms set back from the north coast of Gran Canaria.
The hotel is an old mansion, completely restored in a Canaries-colonial style and resting in its own sub-tropical garden.
There is a swimming pool, terraces and gardens, but a special feature of Hacienda de Anzo is "La Cueva" - a large cave that serves as a spectacular venue for occasional weddings. The guest rooms are comfortably furnished and economically priced, with well-equipped bathrooms, telephone, safe, minibar, music, satellite TV, etc.
Hacienda de Anzo is ideally placed for enjoying all the pleasures of Gran Canaria. It's a short trip to the beach at Playa de Sardina, and there are historic towns and archaeological sites within easy distance

There is no restaurant, but of course breakfast is served.

"This hotel was an absolute dream for those wanting peace and tranquility. The hotel and gardens are superbly maintained, so much so that the owner picked papayas, figs, kiwi fruit etc from the gardens to serve as part of breakfast, and the caves are worth a viewing. We also had outstanding views of the surrounding countryside down to the coast. Some evenings we could even see across to the lights of Santa Cruz, Tenerife.
The atmosphere and staff are perfect for making guests feel at home, and if you did not wish to leave the hotel, the gardens and pool are so beautiful it is easy to chill in perfect peace. The northern and western coastline of the island are far more scenic than anything to be found in the south which are much more built up, commercialised and very geared to the tourist to the point they have lost their identity.
We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting tranquility with luxury." A.B.
