Known locally as La Casa Roja (the Red House) for pretty obvious reasons, the hotel is decorated with bold colours that blend harmoniously with wood and fine fabrics in the interior. The rooms are further decorated with collections of photographs, paintings and antiques, many of the paintings being the work of friends and family. There is a dining room, a sitting room, tv room, meeting room, fitness centre, snack bar and even a private chapel.
For guests there are 9 double rooms, 2 junior suites (in a separate building slightly away from the main house) and 1 suite. They are spacious and elegant, some furnished with a double bed and others with twin beds. The junior suites have their own terraces and are built on two levels.
The gardens are a revelation, with ancient trees and the delicate scent of orange blossom in the spring. There are terraces for sitting out and a swimming pool surrounded by palm and orange trees, and with views of the Agaete valley all round. Nature lovers can take long or short walks straight from the hotel, and a ramble along the valley will soon bring a fabulous view of the Atlantic Ocean.
Tourism only touches lightly on this part of Gran Canaria. The village of Agaete is just a couple of kilometres away where there are several restaurants. Then just a little further and you will reach the harbour and marina, and the black sand and gravel beaches. The ferry leaves here for Tenerife, making an exciting and unusual day trip.

What We Say:
Stunning scenery, a beautiful coastline, a wonderful climate, oodles of space, and spacious and stylish accommodation. From the Guestbook:
"We had a great time. The hotel is uniquely situated in a lush valley and quiet. Ideal location for exploring the northern half of the island (the valleys that lie north of Roque Nublo are breathtaking)."
