In this rural area, there is no question of altering the classic simplicity of the building – the main gate leads you into the front patio and the single-storey whitewashed house that glimmers in the intense Canarian sunshine. There are six double rooms and two suites which add a private lounge to their accommodation. Guest rooms and suites are pristine and straightforward, but they also have minibar, satellite TV, a hairdryer, free wi-fi and an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. The interior is traditional, features including marble dressing tables, pot plants on tables and oil paintings, the effect amplified by beamed wooden ceilings. There are both rooms that open onto the courtyard and ones that face out at the garden. One of the suites has a particularly large window to take in the views.
And the views are spectacular; and this makes sense when taking into account the peaceful, unspoilt rural location and what there is to see in the vicinity: Famara Beach, Papagayo, La Graciosa island and the Timanfaya National Park. After a good day’s trekking, many guests like to laze around in the garden, either on the hammock or on one of the various loungers, where several desert plants grow, along with numerous species unique to the island.

The food is exceptional and known for being among the best on the island. Dinner is available every day except Tuesday. This is a restaurant affiliated with the hotel and not run by the owners themselves.A Word From the Owner:

What We Say:
A fine example of the value in converting a family home with respect for tradition, both of the building and the family. We love the spacious restaurant, well-lit by the famous Canarian sun. From the Guestbook:
"We stayed here for 3 nights in order to see the "unseen" Lanzarote. It's a very traditional house with lovely, clean rooms. Antique furniture and classic bathrooms made us feel we were staying at a very nice family home and not a hotel. I would recommend the Mozaga for a quiet stay in a traditional residence." Lucy G, London
"Maria Luisa, the owner, is a really nice person, discreet and very kind, who welcomes you with a whispering voice, almost to not disturb the peace of the place! Ask her advice on how to explore the island, which she knows perfectly. The place is very quiet; it's an old family country house that was then restored. The bedrooms are comfortable, simple and furnished with items from the old house. Breakfast is rich and abundant and the restaurant, a little more expensive than the average, is absolutely worth a visit."
