We recently made our booking for Finca Las Salinas through you and we thought that you would welcome some feedback.
Your own service was very effcient, so thank you very much.
Finca las Salinas is convenient for Arrecife airport whilst being well away from the flight path and main tourist areas. The hotel was moderately busy when we were there - but it was pleasantly quiet and undisturbed. The time of year and pretty bad weather probably kept people indoors too!
We arrived to find a warm welcome from the chap on reception who showed us to our room - a junior suite made up for us and our 4 year-old daughter - so all was as we had requested.
The rooms are very well appointed, with all the touches that make a stay comfortable - aircon, bathrobes, mini-bar and large comfy beds!
Parking is easy and close to the rooms. The stable area rooms are reasonable for wheelchair access, whilst the main house would require assistance.
The main area of the hotel is lovely - lots of seating, a cosy bar and interesting garden areas for enjoying the sun. Breakfast was good - plenty of choice and excellent coffee! All the staff we met were relaxed and welcoming - happy to chat and answer questions when asked.
The views of the surrounding area are exploited to the full - particularly in the pool area. Yaiza itself is one of the larger towns in "real" Lanzarote - a number of restaurants close by and few tourist traps.
The considerations for this hotel are that you really need a car to make the most of this area of the island and the hotel is not an ideal choice for very young families that need entertaining.
The gym, tennis court and pool-table room were looking a bit tired - but all equipment worked, providing a change of scene from the Lanzarote rain!
Overall, a pleasing building and atmosphere, with warm, relaxed service. We would be happy to visit again.
Many thanks and wishing you a successful 2006.
We had an excellent time here. The hotel is extremely stylish and well managed, with very helpful staff. It was a surprise, because not advertised, or not much advertised, that the hotel boasts a good restaurant, with a comfortable atmosphere and a first class chef. We ate there 5 times in 10 days.
We had sunny weather with a cold wind and so were unable to use the pool; but we probably did more sightseeing than we otherwise might.
We would definitely consider a return visit, and will be enthusiastic to our friends and family.
Firstly, I would like to say how helpful and polite all the staff were at the hotel. The "frontage" of the hotel was as described in the information on the internet - charming. However, we were disappointed in the overall standard of our room.
Bathroom
Tiles (floor and walls) could do with replacing;
Bath was marked in places and could also do with replacing;
Painting of the walls was to a very poor standard.
Bathrobes supplied but no slippers.
Bedroom
Tea/Coffee facilities supplied but there was no obvious socket to use that was safe;
Standard of painting poor;
Air Conditioning - clanking noise;
Pool
Although appeared to be clean on the surface there was small branches and dirt at the bottom of the pool, therefore did not use.
Yaiza offered a truly quite setting as did the hotel, just very disappointing to find that the hotel did not meet our expectations.
